Dr Janetha Edwin received her BDS degree from the prestigious Tamilnadu Government Dental College and Hospital, Chennai, and her MDS degree in Oral Medicine and Radiology from the second largest health sciences university in India, The Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University. During her training, she has received extensive experience in the diagnosis of several oral premalignant and malignant lesions and conditions and signs, recurrent infections, periodontal diseases which may appear early in undiagnosed diabetes, and management of oral complications of diabetes. And also diagnose and conservatively manage temporomandibular disorders (TMD).
Dr Janetha’s academic achievements include winning the best paper award at the IAOMR national conference. She has undergone a training programme in CBCT, a certificate course in the management of medical emergencies in dental practice, and a certificate course in diabetes education. She has done research on obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
She is currently a member of the Indian Dental Association, Trivandrum branch.
